March 2, 2010. Gigs-a-poppin'!
So the gigs are starting to come along! We have a new agreement with Messina's Restaurant in Eastham for the Tim Sweeney Trio to play there the 2nd and 4th Saturday evenings of the month for dining and dancing! BUT, we start this Saturday, the 6th (not the 2nd or the 4th Saturday). Come on by for some fine Italian food -- and brign your dancing shoes!
We will playing at Snow's Home & Garden in Orleans in April as part of their Saturday Music Series, and will be putting more gigs on the schedule soon. Keep checking back.
On April 13th Nancy and I head to Egypt for 2 weeks! (Nancy's 3rd trip, my 2nd). Just a little spiritual journey down the Nile. Can't wait!!!
More later. Thanks for listening and come see us at Messina's!

January 4, 2010. Brand new song!
Do you see the date of the previous entry??? I am so bad … not that I expect anyone ever reads this. But if someone were to read it they might think I had been away for a very long time. Long time.
Now we did have a swell time at the Cabaret. Dan, Anna, Bert, George, everyone!!! did a great job.
And what can one say besides "Ceilidh?" Lawdy what a pawty! Performing with James Hill and Chalmers Doane … jamming with Lil Rev, Linda, Heidi, Gerald, ya ya ya.
Three weeks running with Dan … the Cabaret, the Ceilidh and the 1st annual Columbia (MD) Ukulele Festival. Fred, Victoria, many more, what a ball.
So now 2010. It's gonna be great! See you who-knows-where!!! Look for new songs in 2010!

May 26. Looking to summer!
This Friday evening the 29th I will be helping Greg Johnson celebrate the release of his new CD "Shine," as we perform at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod in South Yarmouth, 8-10:30. I will accompany him on bass and play some ukulele tunes at intermission. Small admission. BYOB.
I (on uke) will be joined by Ed Banks (on bass) for a performance at Eastham's Hands on the Arts Festival (on the Eastham Green) on Father's Day, June 21 at 1:00. It's always a fun time with crafts, food and music! You should be there!
I am very excitied about my upcoming trip to Paris to perform at the ukulele festival there on July 4, followed closely by a performance at the Nerac Uke Fest on the 7th. (Didn't Jimmy Buffett sing about French wine and cheeses? Yes … he did!) Can't wait!
Then back to the beach! Where Greg and I will play on Monday, the 13th at the Gazebo at 7:00. Bring a picnic dinner and beach chair. It's fun!
I am blessed,

ps-- Paris is right around the corner!
April 16. Giving and receiving.
I spent last weekend at a songwriting workshop in Western Mass with Cris Williamson and have come home rejuvenated and inspired. She is amazing! (And it snowed on Easter morning!)
Saturday evening I will be performing (with Ed on bass) at the Falmouth UU Church at 7:00. It is a benefit for the Gay and Straight Youth Alliance on Cape Cod (See GiGS page). I hope you can make it.
The peepers are singing, the daffodils and forsythia are out.
Blessed and grateful.
Tim
March 29. PrimeTime Magazine.
Kathy Salzberg has written a perfectly lovely piece about me for the April issue of PrimeTime Magazine, which hit news stands on Friday. A nice photo of me taken by Steve Heaslip is on the cover. They each made me look good in their professional way and I thank them, along with editor Erin Healy. I am hoping the publicity helps me land a few summer gigs, so call me!
Happy spring!
Tim
